Joy in Jesus – Pope Francis quote Jigsaw Puzzle

Just a small note as I get ready to go work at Oakville Church.

Looks like a beautiful day! I planted my petunias too early I think (found out after I had planted them of course, that it’s better to wait till May!) so I have been covering them at night with black plastic garbage bags. I can see the difference already from having a warm night versus a cold one. Yesterday when I uncovered them instead of looking all flat and spread out like they were freezing to death they were high and lifted up and ready to dance into bloom. I almost felt like they were thanking me for my extra trouble to keep them warm.

On Monday I went to the eye doctor and got it verified that I indeed have Shingles in my right eye. I am keeping on with the same medication which I started on Friday. So far it is working amazingly well. I am much improved! For the most part there is very little pain either so thanks to everyone’s prayers on that score! I am being super, duper vigilant to take the medicine every five and six hours even though it means a rather jumbled up sleep night – but it sure beats it getting worse!

Today is the feast of Saint Catherine of Siena

WWell, a bit has happened since my last post on Palm Sunday!

On Good Friday I notice I was having some eye trouble and I decided to quit my overnight job at the Villas. I had been praying for a sign of whether to continue on or not and I figured if it ever started to show up in health problems it was time to quit. I didn’t know what the eye trouble was but didn’t seem worth risking it to get worse.

I went through Easter Sunday and Monday with my eyelid inflamed but thought it would get better by itself. On Tuesday when it hadn’t I went to Urgent Care where it was decided it was Pink Eye. On Friday my eye hadn’t improved but worsened and I went back to Urgent Care. This time I had a doctor and she took one serious look and said that she thought it was Shingles in my eye. Much more serious than Pink Eye!

On Monday I will go to an eye doctor and get it confirmed or not. In the meantime the eye doctor (was late Friday afternoon) said I would be fine until Monday. I did get started on treatment right away though and this time I am seeing great improvement. Hopefully it will continue without developing any more seriously. My hope. I haven’t gone back to work at the Villas since giving my two week notice because I have not been feeling well enough to do so. At this point I rather think I won’t be going back at all as by the time it is cleared up my two weeks will be over. I really, truly don’t want to work the night shift ever again. 🙂

I did create some Easter puzzles for Easter Sunday – but it was too hard for my eye to be on the computer for very long so I didn’t get a message sent. At least Easter lasts 50 days I think so there is still time to enjoy if anyone wants to. The full set of Easter puzzles is here.

I am hoping in the days ahead to have more time to get back to adding puzzles and games more regularly.

Happy and Blessed Easter! Happy Divine Mercy Sunday!

Joy in Jesus – Palm Sunday Puzzle

Play this Puzzle

This is coming the day after Palm Sunday – but I’m trying to play catch-up! Going to try and create a puzzle for each day of Holy Week.

Today was a beautiful, beautiful day. I went to Mass with my sister and then instead of going to the Worship Service at Oakville I decided to stay closer to home for the day. The day was so warm with blue sky and birds singing and totally heavenly I decided to play spiritual hooky. The Palm Service at St. Mary’s was lovely and I felt I had enough in my heart to keep the day going.

Yesterday my landlord came and put in a really nice screen door for my front entrance. It took longer than he expected but oh my, is it wonderful! I had not done anything with my front yard so far this Spring but after getting this nice new door and having the weather so nice as well I decided it was time to do something about it. So I went flower shopping! I bought two flats of pink and white petunias and I am going to have the whole front flowerbed with just those. I think they will be very pretty. I also bought some low, white, border fencing to put along the edge to set the flowers off. Can’t wait to get everything planted! I prepared the ground today which took a long time because it was full of tough grass roots. Was great working in the sun! I’m not usually a garden person but a Spring day like today softens the hardest non gardeners heart!

Tomorrow is a double work day but maybe I can still get an hour of work in on it. Hope so.

God bless you and fill you with all that you most desire!

Trying to send this out quick! Started working on it last night but then had to go to work. Now I am done with that job and getting ready to zip off to the next one.

Can’t think of anything bright and witty to say – so will just send this note as it is. Was a good night (or should I say early morning) at work. Have a new book by Nora Roberts so looking forward to coming home and reading it later. On the days I work two jobs I figure the time off is not house work time just reading and being lazy time! 🙂 Yea!

Hope you have a wonderful day.

Here is a new memory puzzle. I don’t know if anyone likes to play them as much as I do. But anything to help my memory and is fun is a good thing in my mind. I plan to make about a hundred of these  . . . so . . .

I also plan to create a lot more jigsaw puzzles. I’m praying that at some point I will be able to come up with a script that will allow the jigsaw puzzles to be played on tablets but so far the expense is a bit beyond my budget. But will keep praying away until something happens. 🙂 I have a lot of National Parks to finish but I also want to do a whole section of Scripture puzzles. A nice blend I think.

Today I only had to work one job so it feels like a day off. I did an errand this morning and after that it’s been lazy day working on the computer and reading a book. You won’t guess the book I am reading today. It’s a western. Louis L’amour. I used to love his books and yesterday I found one at work in the library (they let us read them) and so I thought just for fun I’m going to read it. So that’s been what I’ve been doing. Enjoying it very much. What I never realized before was how much moral bits and pieces L’amout puts in his books. Pretty amazing. Even though there is a lot of shoot em up and bury em that goes on – there is a definite sense of good over evil that is kind of nice.

Well – guess I had better think about trying to go to sleep. Midnight comes soon enough. Hope you have a wonderful, joy-filled, God-filled day!

Patricia

P.S. If you think anyone would like to play this puzzle please share it.

No long excuses why I have not posted over a month. I simply needed a break. Now I am back and ready to get back into the swing of life again.

I am still working three jobs and at this point seeming to handle it on most days. Actually I took a month off of writing articles (my third job) but started doing that again today. I am going to keep this short because I need to go to sleep so I will be rested for my night job.

I know the puzzle box above is not up to date but I will fix that in a day or two. I wanted to include it anyway just in case someone wanted to play the different games with just a click. 🙂  This is a new jigsaw puzzle though so I am doing a bit of moving forward.

Pudge and Buddy send their love as do I! Hope all is well with you.

Blessings of Joy!

Patricia

Well, it has been weeks since I have posted but it has taken me this long to adjust to my new life as a night owl.

I came down with a cold for about a week and I think part of that was adjusting to a new sleeping pattern or more like not adjusting!

Anyway this last week I worked 6 days in a row with the new shift and that helped me to get into the schedule. At this point I think I have pretty much turned my biological clock around so that as I write this at almost one in the morning I’m feeling chipper and bright as an owl.

This has actually been the first time that I have felt enough energy or enthusiasm to even work on the computer. For someone who normally spent a lot my free time working on it – this was quite a switch! In fact I was wondering for a bit about simply slipping away into oblivion and letting go of my internet coverage. But now I feel like things are getting back on track or at least the new track.

So we will see how it goes. At this point I still have 3 jobs that I am working. The Oakville job and the Villas job are doing well. The writing job not so much. That requires more mental energy than I’ve had lately – but here’s hoping that will improve. No promises as to how often I will be sending out new puzzles but things are looking up.

Next week I am scheduled to go for a weekend Women’s retreat. Not totally sure if I will go as I’m still adjusting to this time swing and that might be more exhausting than renewing if I have to work before I go, work as soon as I get back and have a different time life in between!

Hope all is well with you!
